Juddering

Hi

I just bought a mk1 2.0 diesel today from a private dealer and on the test drive everything was fine at low speeds, on taking the car home on the motorway I've noticed a fairly bad juddering only when accelerating , clutch is not slipping and feels like it has something to do with wheels or drivetrain ?

Is there a common fault that I should know about?

Thanks
Ash

Take it back if you just bought it and get them to sort it?

Faulty ECU/EME, faulty injectors, faulty fuel pump, partially blocked fuel filter or fuel line. If it was a purchse from a dealer then there must be some period of warranty, if it was a private sale then the problem will prove more dificult to rectify.

Did OBD-2 reading and only thing that flagged up was P0409 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor A - Circuit Malfunction? Could this be linked and putting car in limp?

Most likely driveshaft related

Aescilus, just take it back to the dealer & get them to rectify it.

See what I mean ? ....albeit a year ago, yet another report of juddering, wobbling side to side, but only under acceleration ??? ...has nobody found ....replied.....or reported back that they, or the dealer, fixed this ever increasing problem !
