Is Mobil ESP formula 3w 30 ok to use as a top up on a 15 d

Check your owners handbook as it depends on what part of the world you are in.

Handbook says only use 5W30 DPF Low SAPS
Only petrol varients suggest tgat alternatives may be used in either hot or cold climates.

mobil has acea 3 and book says acea 4l is there much difference cheers

You should update your signature to show what QQ model you have/ year/ location. If in warranty don't deviate from handbook.
As above, you must only use a LOW ASH, which is offered by several others apart from Nissan branded (ELF),
Shell, Millers , Castrol.
