Start stop solenoid location on QQ 1.6dci

Hi everyone I'm new to here but have been using and reading your posts for a while,
I have a QQ 1.6 dci on 63 plate that I bought accident damaged, was all repaired a year ago but ever since the start stop has never worked and also has fault displayed on screen, have been to 3 garages for diagnostics and no one can tell me what it is, through many people and many opinions the concensus has come down to stop start solenoid, does anyone have a clue where the s/s solenoid is located because I can't find it for love nor money, also any opinions or info from anyone with regards to s/s problems would be appreciated
Can't afford to take to Nissan dealer as yet lol
Battery has been replaced

Do you need it to work. ???? lots are trying to stop it working.

I'd like to get it working just so when I come to upgrade everything is in working order, also the fault on dash display along with the orange ! Warning light Is doing my head in, I have noticed that lots are wanting it disabled though and I understand why, but I'm looking to upgrade soon

Regards orange light and start stop system failure you have to read errors from ECU, delete them and after that do a trip if possible driving at a constant speed 3000 rpm.

Thanks goodoane, problem is 3 different garages have had it on computer and can't read any codes as if there isn't a fault at all, so can't delete them

The solenoide is behind the battery above the gearbox mount. You might have to remove airbox to see it. Is the bonnet switch connected and adjusted correct? There are lots of systems and ecus on the qq that generic scan tools cant read or access. The ss system is complex and need to see a load of signals as ok. You said you had battery replaced did they go into ipdm/emcm and clear "cm/charge discount" if not the ecu still thinks the battery is no good.

Ps, all they did was take out old battery and put in new so I'm hoping that's all it is

Did a ipdm/emcm and clear "cm/charge discount work?
