Mine has developed the same problem over the year. The OBDII diagnostics came up with P0380 which is the generic glow plug fault. Could be glow plugs, could be glow plug relay, could be glow plug fuses.

https://autoservicecosts.com/obd2-codes/p0380/

It's going in for a glow plug change this afternoon so I'll let you know the outcome.

Glow plugs changed day before yesterday. Two cold starts at a temp of 5.8 and all is ok. Error code has gone.

I think there are also fuses in the supply lines to the glow plugs.

I had two Skoda Fabia vRS's before my Qashqai. The first one bought new had a lot of problems in the front suspension/steering area so I sold it at 64.5k miles and bought a secondhand SE which to be honest was much better with no major problems over several years (6?).

I then bought the Qashqai and had quite a few problems with that, hence I now have a Suzuki with zero problems.

Because of the poor dealer experience too, I'd be very wary of getting another Nissan while living in Gloucester.

This month i will change some filters, water pump and belts and see if it will continue to happen.
Also tried with second key, same results.

Hello.

New here but from what I'm reading I'm having the same issues. Started just before Christmas when it's cold like 0-3 degrees my quashqai struggles to start. Once it does start it's fine for rest of day it's just that initial cold morning start it doesnt seem to like.
Had a new battery in December then had it serviced Monday changed filters. It was fine this week temp around 5 degrees however we've had snow yesterday and today and I'm back to the issue of struggling to start. I've ran the diesel right down and then stopped up from another garage.

Anyone know how much glow plugs cost to change and if they have changed them and its solved the problem? I'm really stressed about it. X

My Nissan qashqai 2014, won't start below -5 degree Celsius this evening. But have always been difficult to start at below -2 Degree cold start in the mornings only.
Displayed Stop/Start Auto Fault for the past two days and finally won't start at all this evening.

New battery and plugs replaced 2 years ago.

Any ideas and solutions from anyone?
