Thump/knock when pressing and releasing accelerator

Hi guys so we are on to problem 2 with the 59 plate bargain.

"Seems" to drive well but in the let gears when accelerating and releasing there seems to be a thump from the engine

Any ideas, already read that it could be the engine mounts, is this possible and is it an easy fix

Sounds feasible to me, especially given the age and mileage of your car. Could also be gearbox or clutch related. Engine mounts would be the preferred outcome, as the other scenarios would prove more costly.

Ok so it just went in for its first MOT for us and failed, no surprise, needed the arm replaced on the front and when he changed it said he changed the other as well because it was just as bad, fitted for 180 so not bad, also he noticed this noise of knocking when changing gear and got it up in the air for a look, says is the transmission mount? On the bottom apparently?

Which leads me to believe that the knocking may well be causing extra wear on the arms? Not sure thats even possible? Are they easy to fit? or is it something to go back in the garage?

Anybody know what the part number is for these and is it likely to need 1 or 2 of them?
