Still having problems. Have replaced thermostat, flushed cooling system with specialist cleaning fluid, got hose and jet wash onto the matrix and flushed that, and burped system. I still only get heat when the car is moving. When I stop again, it goes cold.

Anyone else had this problem?

Cheers.

I should add that I also tried attaching hoses and adding white wine vinegar.

Incidentally, is it normal for not much water to come out when disconnecting the heater hoses. About 100ml at most comes out in total when I disconnect them? I only lost about 1 litre when I disconnected the bottom hose which I found strange. Was expecting to drain the whole system.

My gut instinct makes.me think my water pump is to blame for the heater issue but was hoping for input from people who have more knowledge than me.
