Stop/start function

Is there a way of reversing it so if i want it i switch it on rather than off? Other than turning it off everytime i drive the car. Its a 2015 model.

This crops up regularly, replies include
- why would you turn it off ?

- there’s a weird trick involving fannying about with some bits under the bonnet

I find that when its on it makes the car a bit jerky when pulling off.

Is it jerky because yours is a auto?
Traction control IS on by default isn't it?
