I've got a 2014 Qashqai 1.5 DCI and the engine light came on. When I connected one of these cheap bluetooth code scanners, it showed me

P1493 RCNT solenoid circuit malfunction

I have been trying online to find info on this error with regard to a Qashqai, but I haven't managed to. Does anyone know what needs to be replaced to fix this issue? The car drives as good as always has. I haven't noticed any difference to before the light came on.

Thanks. This is new info to what I have found out so far.

Sorry. Missed the video, so my previous comment is about the error code website. The problem is that what this video shows is completely irrelevant to what the error code website explains. Tomorrow hopefully I'll have it scanned in a garage and hopefully I will know more.

kapsopod did you manage to solve your P1493 issue?

Nissan diagnostics DTCs get to P1483. That and others similar point to the exhaust components area. Thats for Nissan diesel engines..P1493 doesn't exist anywhere.

Lets us know if you can. There maybe other DTCs your scanner cannot detect?
