Despite the ADBLUE low warning the RAC man tested the battery, said it was stuffed despite the vehicle only having been on the road for a month. He replaced the battery and amazingly the warning has disappeared and the car is starting fine. hopefully it will be ok but from what I have read my confidence isn't high.

My Qashqai has been in the garage twice with this issue. Has anybody found any solutions apart from rejecting the vehicle?

I have a 2019 1.5 dci Qashqai, at 2000 miles the adblue warning came on (1500 miles to go). Used 8 litres to top-up the 16 Litre tank, (half full) the warning didn’t go off as described in the manual, the day after the display read 1500 – 750 miles to empty, the day after back to 1500 miles to empty. I have to take the car back to be checked over, possibly a software fault or a sensor. Upgrade? from a 2016 Qashqai has given me unreliability, higher road tax an Adblue expense and the pleasure of filling the adblue tank with the only indication it’s full when overflowing, with any spills requiring immediate washing off. Now I know why this vital addition was not made obvious at any point during selection or purchase.

Gove, Correct unfortunately your 1,6 dCi is not available anymore it has been superseded by the newer Diesels with Ad Blue to meet the EU Specs Euro 6D Temp - Dave 🤨

I bought my 9 month old qashqai on 18.01.20 after a 3 month horrific experience with another dealer not nissan. Lovely vehicle but five days after taking ownership the adblue fault light came on, took it straight back to them. I was told it was the sensor in the tank air lock issues, the dealer is being very good to me offering whatever I need, they will do it, after reading everyone else's issues not sure i trust another diesel with this engine and they too dont know how long it will take to rectify the problem mine is their 4th vehicle waiting for repair with this issue. They have offered me an exchange to a petrol or my money back, I really dont know what to do for the best.

After 25500 miles almost trouble free, today my adblue warning light came on...530 miles left it said. Topped up, about 2 litres, light/warning stayed on.
Phoned RAC, they said I needed to drive it for 20 miles(ish) and the alarm will reset, I did and it didn't.
Phoned RAC, they called me back later, the man said that I had overfilled the tank, I told him that was not possible.
Tomorrow the car is being taken to my local Nissan dealer by the RAC, the Nissan dealer said it could be quite some time before they could look at it.
They did not have a courtesy car but said the rac would provide us with a hire vehicle.
Happy days.............

Maybe it needs more than the 2 litres you've put in?

Note what https://www.euro6diesel.com/app/vehicles/nissan/qashqai says:

Tank volume - 16L

Tank location - The AdBlue tank in the Nissan Qashqai is located next to the diesel fuel cap.

How to fill tank - Ensure the car is parked on a level surface and locate the AdBlue tank. Unscrew the blue lid and replenish the tank using AdBlue bottles or pouches bought from a registered AdBlue dealer.

Empty tank - Should the AdBlue tank become empty, it will be impossible to restart the engine. You must fill up with at least 4.5L of AdBlue to restart the engine.

I realise yours is not empty but perhaps it needs to be a certain "fullness" to switch the light off? The handbook always says "Refill" not "put a bit in".

What does the "AdBlue Status" procedure show?
