Hi All
I have a 2010 1.5 dci ntec with 82k on the clock I’m looking at getting the cambelt done ASAP, just wondering if anyone has any experience with specialists around Birmingham? Don’t want to pay dealer prices if I can avoid!
An recommended independent garages around Birmingham?

Remember once out of the 3 year Guarantee, Nissan service costs become more sensible. You'll also
benefit from free s/ware updates (+ any recall work*) & one year's free Nissan Recovery, via the RAC.
* At MOT time, dealers will soon it seems also check your car reg., on DVLA database to see if there's
any outstanding recall work; if not done, that's now a fail.

What did you pay when you had it done before? Or didn't you have the car then?
Would be worth getting a quote or two from dealers in any case so you know what you're comparing against.

It's a pity you're not in Northern Ireland - seems like the Nissan dealer there will do it for £250 - sounds a good price!

Don't forget you might need a water pump too.

Definitely get a new water pump. About £50 I think, or another £300 if it goes 2 weeks later. New belts can put stress on the bearings of an older pump.
