Hi all, after 4 garages the fault was found. Very quick easy fix and £60

One of the sendor faults is the exhaust pressure sensor. The sensor is fine but the pressure in the exhaust is to low to triggers the sensor as faulty.

It's at the top of the engine. Take the sensor out shoved a rubber tube in and poured thinners in. Let that settle an soften up. Get a bit of bike brake cable connect it to a drill and turning the drill slow shove down thd pipe at the back of the engine. Takes a few goes.

Run engine and rev a bit. All the crap blows out. Replace sensor job done.

Theres a few YouTube videos on it.

So I have the details for what solved my issues in case it helps anyone. See the attached pics for part numbers and work done description. Seems it was the turbo low pressure sensor (impeller) and blocked EGR Tube!

Hope it helps someone - cheers Dan

my partner had same problem on her 2011 1.5 qashqai, no need to buy any new parts, the pipe at the back of engine gets blocked with soot.
here is the nissan Technical Bulletin to solve the problem :D

Going to try that tomorrow. Mine is having the same fault. Battery has 13v before engine starts and comes up to over 14v when engine is on so battery and alternator look good. I seen posts about a loom by the fan. I looked for that and maybe found it. It looks worn with the fan housing cutting into it but without a good one to look at its hard to say. Does the loom in the picture look normal?

Couldn't get the tube cleaned but the sensor I replaced. Left it in to a non Nissan garage to finish the job and clean the pipe. Left it in there because I left it in to a Nissan garage and they told me it was the battery. Wanted to charge me 220e for something that I knew wasn't the issue. Is there any proper mechanics working in those garages or do they just put the diagnostics in a car and say it's the battery? And not one of the staff working there drives a Nissan...

I've just had this fault and took my 2015 Qashqai into Nissan as it wouldn't start, found to be a corroded earth and its associating bracket touching the gearbox that was causing a short. The error messages show all the chassis control, stop/start etc as there is a fault in the system and has nothing to do with those actual units. An alternator or battery could be to blame for the same errors to appear but a test is easily done before committing to replace. It would seem a diagnosis for "chassis control system fault" is not straight forward and could be any one of a multitude of issues.

Hi All, I had the same fault on my J11 2014, chassis control fault, stop/start fault.....e.t.c. I eventually took it to the the Nissan main dealer and they diagnosed it as a fault EGR solenoid. This was replaced and I have not had the error since... been 2 months now hope this helps. P.S the repair cost was £300

Hi all,
I drive a 2015 Qashqai (1.2L petrol) and got the 'Chassis control system fault' warning come up. At the same time, 4 yellow warning lights came on:
1) Anti lock braking system (ABS) light
2) forward emergency braking system light
3) low tyre pressure warning light
4) Electronic parking brake system warning light (yellow)

I have attached 2 pictures of the faults and warning lights.

The car drives normally at low speeds but I cannot go above 40mph. I also cannot seem to go above 1.5 revs.

The Nissan dealer can only see me in 3 weeks(!) and I will be grateful for any advice you may have on this.

Many Thanks
Nishal

Nishal:
Difficult to say what the problem is exactly. It needs the error codes (DTCs) to be downloaded from the car.

As a guess I'd say the braking system (ABS) has a problem. That will cause both the ABS and Body stability symbols to show and very likely limit the revs (speed) of the car. Might be the ABS system itself or its communication with 5 subsystems of the car including chassis control:

Engine Management
Transmission Control (if fitted)
Steering
Instrument Pane
Chassis Control

Your car is telling you it can no longer control stability. Its dangerous really and has limited revs via Engine Management. Let us know please what the outcome is.
