Took delivery of a 1.3Dig T -160 DCT gearbox on 8th January 2019, after 36 days the gearbox is defunct. Nissan can give NO date for a new gearbox, so we are trying to reject the car albeit little help from Nissan. This is not the only problem with the car as it also totally shut the engine/servo/power steering down fortunately at only 20mph because the battery in the key fob had failed so the control system could not detect! Very very concerning that this can happen... Needlss to say we do not want the car back. Anyone else had such awful problems?

I'm certain once car started, it's possible to drive off & leave i key behind in error.
Can't believe it would suddenly shut down as described.

I can assure you it shut down - almost collected a van in the rear end.

That's the first DCT gearbox failure we've heard of. What's actually gone wrong?
