I apologise in advance for asking a question which has probably been discussed loads of times before. My question is, this is my first diesel and I’ve read many different things about the regen for the dpf. Can someone
please confirm that as mine is a 1.5 2016 plate, it will regen
around town rather than relying on me taking it for a run up the motorway? Once again sorry for asking but I’m slightly concerned about doing the right thing. For information I’ve had the car 2 weeks and have given it a good run on the motorway this morning. Thanks Wayne.

The answer is yes it should.
The giveaway that dpf regen is working, is when you shut down the engine & you hear the cooling fans on the car running on. I usually notice this 1 or 2 times per month, but it all depends on your driving style & distances you drive.
