I have done a quick forum search and can't find an answer to this, so is AdBlue sold by different manufacturers all the same?

In the Nissan handbook I can't find anything that states a specific standard / specification of AdBlue , as you would find with regards to Engine Oil, so will any AdBlue do? or do I have to use Nissan's own from the Main Dealer to avoid any warranty issues?

Thanks for the reply, Dave...it was more a question about is there a difference in quality or is all AdBlue from the different munfacturers pretty much the same specification?

Weasel, I would have thought that this comment covered the Quality / Specification Issue. Controlled by the licenses of the VDA & ISO Std - Dave 😉

The quality of AdBlue® (urea AUS 32) is important for its use in vehicles, which is therefore regulated in the ISO standards 22241-1 to 4. These standards have to be observed by all licensees of the VDA. Those manufacturers of urea, which are interested in a license from VDA, have to undergo a quality audit performed by VDA-QMC at their production site at regarding the distribution system.

Thanks once again, Dave.... looking at the information you have kindly provided I would say that the manufacturer has to produce the AdBlue to a certain specification.

So, with that in mind I'll buy a top up bottle and keep it in the boot.
