Hello all,

New to Qashqai ownership, and having a world of trouble. Nissan aren’t being much help either.

We had an orange EML come on the dash, Nissan reset the service light and advised it could be 3 issues, but to wait until the service had been done to resolve.

The EML light came back on less than 24 hours later. Fast forward to today and now the stop/start failure has appeared constantly flashing, with the EML light on permanently and the throttle is very unresponsive.

What was the fault code ? Just resetting the light won't cure the problem.

Unfortunately Nissan didn’t pass the paper work onto my
Partner (her car).

They just told her it could be a possible 3 issues, the service is booked in on the 26th July. They advised to speak to the service desk once the oil has been changed!

When my EML came on and the stop/start system failed, I had a new battery fitted, a new air intake filter and a new oxygen sensor fitted! Have you checked that your speed limiter and cruise control are working, as these also failed!

It took Nissan three attempts to sort my car, replacing a part on each visit, thankfully though all under warranty with no quibble.

I'm not sure why your dealer is telling you that it won't be sorted until the car is serviced? Surely they should be sorting it now?

Good luck.

I had this about a month ago, I usually do short journeys so was suspecting a battery but was advised it was the exhaust sensor. Car seems to run smoother and wither a higher mpg since it was changed, I guess that makes sense considering what the exhaust sensor does.
