Unplugged hose, can't see where it goes?

Hi all,
I've just got my '15 1.5 dci Qashqai back from the dealer for servicing.
I was checking under the bonnet to make sure they'd actually said what they've done (another story!
)
There's an unplugged black braided hose (see pic). It seems to originate from under the engine somewhere, and ends near the bolts for the oil filler/dipstick.
I'm stumped as to what it's supposed to plug into? Or indeed if it plugs into anything at all?! (breather hose maybe?)
