Neutral and foot off clutch. Shouldn't need handbrake on..
Ours as others. In neutral, foot off clutch and doesn't seem to mind if handbrake is on or not.
Took me by surprise yesterday. Car had been parked at work for about 4 hours. Got in car to go home, drove about 500m, came up to traffic lights that just changed to red. Experience told me it's a good wait at these lights so slipped car into neutral and stop start cut in. At first thought I'd stalled it until I spotted the notification on the display. Can't fault ours. Have now done 350 miles very mixed driving since new and display indicates average fuel consumption of 60.5 to the gallon - well pleased with that.

Tell me, does the footbrake need to be on, not just in neutral? Only I don't want the engine cutting out as I'm coasting downhill in pursuit of that elusive 74.3mpg (when I get the car on 17 July that is)
