Hi, I have a Qashqai 1.5 nteq+ Diesel, a couple of days ago orange engine light come up with a message saying Start/Stop failure. Even after turning the engine on off the message stays. The car is drivable but I can feel that it lost some power especially when trying to go over 50 mph. Anyone can give me an idea to what is the issue. Thanks

Initially perhaps look to have the battery tested. Do a search on here for battery issues and you'll see many similar posts.

Welcome to this forum.

The battery may certainly be at fault, especially if it's a Fiamm.

Note Nissan dealers may be cheaper than elsewhere - e.g. Halfords. Aim to pay a little over £100 for a replacement battery if you can find a good dealer!

I had a new battery installed by RAC 3 years ago after the original one failed. Could it be really be the battery again ?

3 years is a typical lifespan of a battery. Get it tested.

The engine management fault flag will likely remain even with a new battery fitted. Its a DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) which needs to be cleared/reset I suspect. Nissan dealers and RAC will do that procedure.
