Service Schedule - 1.5DCI New 2019 model

Hi All

I've ordered a new QQ which will be delivered the early December 2019, and was having a nose at the service schedule.

My current car, a Volvo XC60 D5 which drinks diesel like no tomorrow (30mpg) has a service schedule of every year or 17k miles whichever comes first.

Looking online, it seems the QQ has a service schedule of every 5k or 6 months !!!!!!!!!!!

Am I reading this right ?

If I'm on route to 20k miles per year, then that's four services !

A few years back I had a Vauxhall Zafira 1.7D which had a service schedule of 20k or 2 years (whichever came first).

Are manufacturers going backwards or something ??? Maybe they need to put extra money in their christmas party pot ???

Hope I have completely lost the plot and mis-read the schedule.....

I don't know what sites you've been looking at - but you've been seriously misled.

The Qashqai service schedule for your car is 1 year/18,000 miles.

Thanks for that ! I was really scratching my head, there was a service schedule on a EU Nissan website which seemed to show oil changes every 5k miles. Glad I was wrong !! Phew !
