Engine and ESP lights coming on after about 50 miles

J10 n-tec diesel After about 50 miles engine red light and ESP lights come on and stay on. This happens all the time Driving shorter distances no problem. Has anyone any idea what the problem is.

do the lights come on if your not driving and start the car and rev it a few times

You need to get a diagnostic tool plugged in, or it could be a matter of guesswork. If this was on my old Mercedes Benz forum, I would say it could be the brake switch, but on here, who knows. I gave the above as an example of the guesswork that could be involved without the right equipment.
Past cars Mercedes B Class, S Class, E Class Estate, E Class Coupe, G Wagen, 260E interspersed with Peugeot 406 and Audi Coupe.
