Best fuel for 1.5dCI

Hi everyone.

New member first post.

I've just switched to 1.5dCI - any recommendation on best diesel to use for this engine (mainly for longevity and cleanliess of engine, rather than economy, but I'll take that too)!

Some people have said supermarket is cack - is that true, and is it true across the board? And if I go branded, which is best brand and best product?

Welcome to this forum.

I don't have a diesel now but when I did and now I have a petrol, I almost always use Tesco, occasionally Asda or somewhere else, and I've never had a connected problem.

I use Tesco Momentum 99 in the bike though.

If you read The Telegraph's Honest John column, he always recommends the premium V Power Shell grades; though more expensive it has better cleaning agents than supermarket, gives better mpg., as testified to by numerous readers, and better acceleration. ;)
