Thats good to hear. You'll need to add more water/antifreeze once you have the air out of the system

My personal opinion based on your postings is that Nissan and the Dealer have let you down very badly.

Remember you only have to give the seller 1 opportunity to rectify the problem and they have had that and introduced further issues.
Because dealers now employ technicians not mechanics. Ask a dealer to rebuild an engine and I am not sure if they would be capable, if they can't plug it is what do they do next?
Past cars Mercedes B Class, S Class, E Class Estate, E Class Coupe, G Wagen, 260E interspersed with Peugeot 406 and Audi Coupe.

Certainly not technicians...might get to fitter in old money really.

Its "black box" changing. Theory/aim being that their diagnostic tools lead them to the right black box. Change box at often enormous cost and follow repair document instructions. Employers cannot/won't train in depth which makes sense...to some extent..

They (or one in the workshop) should be capable of building up from a new short block engine after scavenging a faulty engine.

They'll need an auto electrician thats somewhat better trained than an ordinary one. Again following diagnostic tool/document instructions.

I agree with whats been written but it doesn’t explain why the car wasn’t given a quality check, by someone responsible, before being released to the customer.

It you only employ technicians then their work needs to be checked by their manager or someone technically competent and customer focused.

The repairer needed to appreciate this wasn’t a repair to an old banger it was a new car in which the engine failed.

Quick update.
Car going back into dealers for 1000 mile check mid Jan @ same time repaint engine bay cross members plus full body, inside, outside & engine bay valet.
Seem to have cleared air lock, thanks andy2019.
Also have to get them to check for a vibration now on steering wheel. Poss new engine out of balance??? Who knows??? Will call in on Saturday as that's when a more experienced tech is in for there advice.
Any problems I have to call the RAC . I was told that by both the dealer and Nissan.
I find this incredible.
All the best for Christmas,
John
