I have the OBD code P0011 Intake camshaft position timing over-advanced (bank 1).
Does anyone know what to do about it, can it be the camshaft variable timing solenoid and is it difficult to take out and clean?

Unfortunately we don't have any technical data for the 1.6 engine...unless someone has somewhere? However, there is a description below of a similar Nissan device. Its an electro/mechanical device controlling oil pressure for valve timing by the ECU. Some videos on the web show cleaning and some testing of similar valves.

The valves are located here:

There are three of them, seems like two on the intake and one on exhaust ???

Am i right?

Thats what the wiki page states as well. Not sure why there are 3 unless one of them is sensing oil pressure..slightly different part No. I'd expect the ECU to be receiving feedback from cam phasing actuation somehow and that might be it?

Since its electro/mechanical/hydraulic I suspect all parts need to be inspected. Each actuator could be tested with 12v applied? The CVTC units may need a closer examination as well. There is also a few vids on Youtube talking about bad oil...dirty?

A video exists of a chap describing the system parts on a single camshaft here: (different engine somewhat - HR16DE)
