Hi guys I’m totally new to this site but desperate for your help. So my QASHQAI 1.5 diesel has threw up a red engine management light with reduced power 3 times now. All 3 times I’ve been semi hard accelerating eg down a slip road it’s come up with a obd code of p0381 glow plug/ heater indicator circuit and a code p2263 turbo charger boost system performance. Can anyone please shed some light on this. The wife is losing confidence in driving it so am keen to get the problem sorted ASAP. Thanks in advance. Nick

The common fault with the diesels is a blocked exhaust gas transfer pipe and resultant gas pressure sensing problem. Its a thin bent pipe at the rear of engine and fairly low down. Drivers side I think? That fault will throw ECU combustion control out and flag a number of errors.
I'm not saying that is the problem but we may see some responses here by those who have experienced it. Search this site...you may find stuff on it.

Welcome to this forum.
As you can see we haven't heard from the original questioner again.

59 plate 2009 j10 1.5, p2263 indicates a boost pressure issue, there is a known issue with the j10 where the top pipe going over the top of the engine and down the back and goes onto the turbo outlet, this pipe leaks oil and the oil gets onto the vacuum capsule for the turbo actuater, eventually it gets inside the capsule and starts getting to work on the diaphram and eventually it tears and starts to leak vacuum.
To check you need to see if the turbo diaphram is covered in oil, if it isn't then its something else if it is then you need to get a vacuum tester like a mityvac and remove the hose to the capsule and try and pull a vacuum and it should hold it if it starts to leak it then its buggered and a new turbo and top pipe will be required
