We tow with a 1.6 dci awd Nissan Quashqai (4 yrs old). Yesterday afternoon I went to fill it up and on the way home I realised my car had lost power. My first reaction was that they had maybe filled up with petrol but fortunately it wasn't that. I drove straight to Nissan and asked them to look. It had to be booked in and I had to pay just over R1000 for a diagnostic test. When they drove it the power was back, they checked everything and could not find any fault. They are adamant that a car cannot lose power and then regain its power. I have driven that car for 4 years so obviously I know how it should drive, I had my foot flat on the accelerator in 3rd gear and could not get over 40Kph. I collected it this morning and they say they don't have an answer for me.
Is there anyone who can maybe give me an idea as to why my car would have lost power like that.
