Hi, I recently acquired a 2007 j10. 1.5 dci (170k miles) , i bought it burning alot of oil but still boosted well throughout the rpm range, found to be the turbo seals, replaced the turbo, bolted it all back up, now I have no boost till around 2.5k, with the turbo hitting like a hammer at 3k rpm (also no noticeable boost in 1sr gear). Only thing I did whilst I had it apart was clean all the egr and pipes etc (which were badly coked up).
Checked underneath and the turbo actuator fully closes on idle, and when revved up hard (no load) releases.
Turbo control valve is making a constant buzzing noise at idle, which when tapped on the base of it hard makes an even louder buzzing. Egr also buzzes when ignition is turned on
I have a feeling maybe the egr isn't sealing now but don't want to pay £170 for a new one and be wrong..
Any help would be massively appreciated
