I have been having issues with the camshaft position sensor. Managed to get one off Nissan for a price.

How do I locate bank 1?

Thanks in advance

You only have a straight 4 cylinder engine so it is just 1 bank of cylinders. We dont identify cam position sensors by bank in this setup. it's either intake cam position sensor or exhaust cam position sensor. What code did you have? I assume your changing this because you've had a code? Do you know how to test them?

The front one is intake and the rear one is exhaust.

Ok thanks for that useful info.

Yes I have some codes which were
PO340 - Camshaft position sensor circuit bank 1

And also an intermittent

C1130 - Engine 1 fuel cut system fault

I’m hoping the above is only triggered by the cam Sensor.

No I’m not sure how you test them but was told only the “Nissan” one would cure it.

Thanks, tried changing the front one a didn’t seem to make any difference to the stuttering drive.

(Also had the intake solenoid replaced)

Now swapped it to the rear & will test drive tomorrow 🙏🏽
