Dave, these tires were part of the winter package I bought from my dealer. Studded tires are common in Finland because our winter can be quite harsh. Other type is M+S that is allowed during winter until 2024, but generally studded tires are way better in our conditions. Winter tires need to have 3mm of tread depth, anything below that needs to be replaced.

I got the sill plates in anthracite color yesterday and installed them today. They look so much better than the original Nissan ones in my opinion and they go over the edge so they cover more.

Yeah, I sure could have No more of that though, since we have snow on the ground now so mud doesn't carry over with my boots anymore.
Edit:
Oh and I have tested the snow drive mode. It drops the revs down and limits the acceleration so you don't spin your wheels after you have stopped.

If people are interested:
Drove about 950km during the weekend.
Average speed for that was 76km/h, so most of the trip was done on 80kmh speed limit roads.
Fuel consumption 6.8 litres/100km which translates to 41.541mpg
I'm really surprised how well propilot worked, even in the dark it kept me in my own lane.

Sounds great! Thanks for posting. I have the same model/colour on order.
I will be switching to all season tyres once it arrives as I find them OK from the British winters rather than doing a swap between summer and winter.

So far I have driven just 45km.
Photos I took at dealership before towbar and winter package install:

Here is a screenshot from the Nissan Connect app. Car has an eSIM in it according to my dealer, so it's able to communicate with the app. You can also lock/unlock the car, make it flash lights or sound the horn.

I have a 512 page manual to read through. If you want more info about the AWD CVT model, please ask and I'll look around the car.
Also, I will be installing blackvue dr900x-2ch plus dashcam this evening or tomorrow to the car. Front cam is easy to install, just need to piggybag the fuses for power, but rear camera is more difficult because of the cable pulling through the car to the camera.
And to end this topic, dealer told me that my J12 is the first one they have handed over to customer, so there are no other J12s in my area. All others he has on order are still being made or waiting to be made.
I hope you are enjoying your new car. I have some questions about your towbar as I will be fitting one when my car arrives if you wouldn't mind helping out.
Which make did you go for, removable or fixed? If it needed a bumper cut to install? If the bumper needed to be removed? Does it interfere with parking sensors? I've also read some cars need an ECU update for some reason but I can't find out anything about this for the J12. Is there anything else I need to know about?
Thank you in advance for your time. Jim

It's a fixed one, I ordered it through the dealership I bought the car from, it's the "official" one from Nissan since it was priced the same as the one in the catalog and they installed it for me so I don't know if they removed the bumper. It does not interfere with any sensors and the electric plug folds under the car so it's not visible. And it doesn't need the bumper to be cut, it comes out nicely from underneath. I can take some photos tomorrow, too dark already for that.xaote wrote: ↑Tue Nov 23, 2021 3:44 pm

Hi Ilkka. No need for photos thank you. You have answered all I need to know. My main worry was interfering with the parking sensors. Many thanks for your time, much appreciated, Jimilkka wrote: ↑Tue Nov 23, 2021 4:59 pmIt's a fixed one, I ordered it through the dealership I bought the car from, it's the "official" one from Nissan since it was priced the same as the one in the catalog and they installed it for me so I don't know if they removed the bumper. I'm about to recieve my new J12 techna+ awd tomorrow from my dealership.
At the same time with ordering my car I ordered and some accessories, one of those was the removable towbar with the 13pin socket.
And the final result is this that you can see at the photo below. Is possible to post a photo under of your back pumper to check if you have the same cut with me. Thank U so much.
