Best way of driving
What are you trying to achieve? Maybe I don't understand your question.
The whole point of B mode is to offer more regen braking. If you don't want/need that, you can just drive in D. As stated, D+Eco = no regen.

The satisfying thing about B mode is that it simulates the effect of gear ratios on the rate of deceleration even though the gear ratio between electric motor and wheels is permanently fixed mechanically and does not vary. So at higher speeds retardation is milder but once the car slows to below about 30 mph retardation noticeably increases as if the driver had selected a lower gear. Hopefully this is also most efficient for energy recovery.
I am not trying to achieve anything I just want to understand the options. I have only driven the car on a test drive, but my car will be delivered next week.
I remember driving with the e pedal, so I must have been in B mode.

I'm sure this will be covered by your sales man/woman when the car is handed over.…

You can be in D mode with epedal activated, epedal is the electric motor braking the car.
Some find epedal too harsh, I just feather the throttle pedal & only allow the epedal to kick in gradually.
I drive mainly in eco, B & epedal round town, as soon as I get on fast roads for more than a few miles I deactivate epedal & then sometimes swap to D while driving & if I need to accelerometer overtake I flick up to standard or sport mode, then back to standard or eco.

One thing that I don't remeber to be written in the manual about e-Pedal is that is also uses the friction brakes to achieve it's goal, not only regen.
Also, when going down on longer roads (like down a longer hill or mountain road), when the battery is full, B and D start doing engine braking using the gasoline engine (you can hear it start and roar, and also EV mode gets deactivated at that point). But e-Pedal doesn't do that, it compensates with the friction brakes instead. The engine is completely quiet, EV mode stays engaged, the speed is controlled very nicely BUT it should be used with major care because it could lead to brakes overheating on long descents - it basically goes down with the friction brakes permanently engaged, no actual engine braking at all (again, this happens after the battery is already 100% charged).
I'm not sure this implementation is optimal, honestly.
