Qashqai 1.2 DIG-T Petrol 2017

Hi can the stop/start function be turned off for good, rather than turning it off by the push button on each journey?

Various reasons including saving battery life and engine wear.

I've seen someone install a little box that remembers the last selected option but that seems a bit extreme and not sure if that would affect my insurance if it counts as a 'Modification'?

Thanks!

Have a google, there is an additional item you can install which will allow the stop start to be permanently on or off. IT MAY AFFECT YOUR WARRANTY. So make sure before committing.

This is a design feature for emissions and so as stated previously, I'd be wary of making any modifications if the car is still under warranty. I also worry about the possible adverse effect on the battery and so have got into the habit of hitting the button to turn it off every time I start up the car.

As your battery ages and loses voltage, it'll cause STOP/START function to be disabled. Has on my Mazda, which suits me fine!

hello, I have a QASHQAI 2019, 1.3 DIG-T 138 HP on which I disabled the START-STOP function very simply: under the hood, in the front, there is a switch that informs the car's computer that the hood is closed. I removed the plug that goes into the switch, the computer thinks that the hood is open and does not command the START-STOP function....
definitive solution

How do you get on when locking the car if the car thinks the bonnet is still open don't the alarm go off 😉

There is the bonnet way but there are people saying that nissan might be able to see errors.

But you can also buy plugs that you attach to the button.
So every time you start the car the start stop goes off.

my car is not equipped with an alarm, so the disconnected switch does not affect me. I have been using this method for almost a year and no error has been displayed.
