Automatic box not the smoothest

have a '23 tekna auto
has anyone one with an auto box noticed that when moving from stopped the auto at time seems to lurch forward. not the smoothest of transitions

Yes

You soon get used to it. All down to the hybrid stop start system.

One day there will be a software update to fix it hopefully

But have been driving this one for 18 months now and doesn't cause an issue.

It has pretty slow mechanical transition from D to R or contrary. If you stay on brakes a bit longer the effect is smaller.

For example cars with ZF automatic transmission are in this aspect much faster.

main issues ive noticed is that between autobox and stop/start it can bog down coming out of junctions if you time it wrong

also parking, lift the brake and it doesn't creep forward, it lurches.
had a '20 sportage auto previously and had to say the autobox was a lot smoother

Not experienced either of those issues. Never hit a flat spot pulling out.

If you are parking and find it an issue quickly turn the stop start function off and see if that helps

I always turn stop/start off. Don’t like it.
