Hi All,
New member and looking to tap into the collective QQ wisdom here please.
With the impeding expansion of ULEZ in London area, I’m left trying to figure out if my 2014 1.6 diesel meets Euro6 emissions requiements? I know from my paperwork that the car was both manufactured and registered in December 2014. It being so late 2014, is there a chance it’s Euro6? I had seen a comment on internet about late 2014 J11 cars being Euro 6 but I don’t know if that’s just none sense.

Any leads you can give me to confirm once and for all would be very appreciated!

Thanks, Mo

Minimum emission standards
Petrol: Euro 4 (NOx)
Diesel: Euro 6 (NOx and PM)

The ULEZ is enforced based on the declared emissions of the vehicle rather than the age. However:

Petrol cars that meet the ULEZ standards are generally those first registered with the DVLA after 2005, although cars that meet the standards have been available since 2001
Diesel cars that meet the standards are generally 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐕𝐋𝐀 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟓

A 2014 1.6 diesel is almost certainly a Euro 5 car, I've got one. I consider the £30 road tax I pay ok and I am willing to pay the ULEZ charge or in Bristol the Clean Air Zone (CAZ) as I never visit these areas and go to the out of town shops instead. The annoying bit is, to upgrade form Euro 5 to 6 will only cost a few hundred pounds, but I am not allowed to do this, because if I did the car will still be regarded as Euro5 so why bother!
Past cars Mercedes B Class, S Class, E Class Estate, E Class Coupe, G Wagen, 260E interspersed with Peugeot 406 and Audi Coupe.
