Been investigating it for a while over some knocking at the front passanger side dashboard. First thought was the fuse box side cover. Looked to be a little bit loose. Heated it with a head gun, bend it back and straightened the brackets and looks tighter.
But the knocking continued...
Just noticed that it is the glove box. The door side is bouncing and not holding tight therefore causing very anoying knocking on bumps and holes.
Any ways of making it tighter? Any hinges can be removed and investigated or changed? Just have put some door seal inside the box but maybe someone else came across the same problem and found a better looking solution.
Regards, Michal

Sounds like the glove box door has been removed maybe for pollen filter replace. And it's not been clipped back in correct
I had it in and out several times. Its just leaving a gap between the dashboard and the glove box cover whats causing very anoying knocking on bumps

So you have clipped the plastic hinges back in place correct, and clipped the plastic bracket back in place on the side of the glove box too ?
Yea, have done. Its the top of the cover from the door side whats knocking and bouncing making noise.

if its all clipped in correct then i dont know why its still moving around for you then. use some felt sticky pads to stop it rubbing

I placed sticky back felt strips on the top of the dashboard/glove box (the thin strip of smooth plastic that you see when the globe box lid is open) now I have to push slightly hard to close the lid until an audible click is heard from the latch. It is now rattle/creak free.
The felt strip I purchased from EBay (item number 271463379861) £4.50 for 2 metres x 25mm
Thanks for your suggestions. Before I read them I have tried it with a short piece of D-shape black window/door seal. That has done the job. Just need to order a new piece and cut it to size as the one I had was a little cut-end.
Thanks
