Hi there, apologies if this is in the wrong section but it's my first post on here.
I've recently last week purchased a 2013 Qashqai 1.5 dci. On the initial test drive we didn't notice anything out of the ordinary but there's a couple of things I would appreciate advice with:
1) a cold start - even after waiting for dash lights to turn off/plugs to warm up, the engine is taking at least 2-3 seconds to turn over and start. This is slightly better when engine is warmer. But in my other car VW Golf 08 plate I've recently had battery changed and it turns over immediately. Is this normal?
2) when accelerating and reaching approx 2000rpms there's a almost rattle type noise when in gear only (not if car is revved when neutral). This doesn't affect drive and there's no issues with power/pull and no engine lights etc.
Can anyone help???

Has it been serviced lateley. Oil oil filter. Air filter. Fuel filter. Has is got original nissan batt fitted still as this will be comeing to its end of life 10yrs .

There are many possibilities, glow plugs changed?, Glow plug relay checked, when you say slow to turn over, what do you mean, do you mean it doesn't start straight away or do you mean the starter engages and turns over slowly?, Any engine lights?, What have you done to diagnose the issue?, There are many many possibilities.

I have a similar rattle and it's the intake pipe around the battery, there was some foam padding around the pipe that has disintegrated and now it rattles ... but only at around 2k rpm
