The dealership phoned me today to say the control module has arrived, which seems very quick in this day and age. Booked an appointment for early October when I’m free to take it in to have the part fitted.

Control module replaced. Green light back in action. All sorted.

Hopefully this one will last more than 10 months?

As promised, some pictures of the existing spare wheel, inherited from my previous Qashqai’s. Only one of the inserts fits on the right-hand side of the wheel. I’ve had to put the jack and puncture repair kit in my boot tidy. Other tools are wrapped up in old towels to stop any untoward noise.

Great to see your pics that shows the j11 spare wheel kit fits on the j12 model, I see you used one foam insert, did the other one get anywhere near fitting with maybe a bit of modification or was it miles out...Tia

I have only just realised you can activate Siri for Apple CarPlay features without needing to press the Voice Recognition button on the steering wheel

A new map update is available to download (fourth update since ownership?) - which only appeared this evening.

Also a 1GB software update for the Connect unit. Last time I checked for an update was October 2022.

I will update both at a later date.

Had a new steering wheel fitted today, due to the intermittent Steering Assist Fault - the fault only seemed to occur 4 months of the year, during winter, obviously not keen on the dark, damp, winter nights.

Recently, the QQ was quite happy for me to leave my hands off the steering wheel indefinitely - probably morphing into a Tesla?

Anyway, old and new steering wheel below.
Thought the new steering wheel might have the updated Nissan logo but it didn’t.
It is a new steering wheel as the old one had a couple of indents from the heavy Stoplock I use.
