Tyre sizes are on the sticker on drivers door with what size you can fit. You'll need to get 17"alloys if your putting 17" tyres on car

Thanks andy for your answer. The question is then, Can the 215 60 17 be replaced by a 225 65 17?

Yes as you are increasing the rolling radius the speedo reading will no longer be correct and therefore illegal.

Your speedometer will under-read by 4.8% compared to previously. Given that it would normally over-read by less than that, with the new tyres it will be showing a speed below the actual speed. This, combined with the fact that the tyre is not listed as a valid option on your door sticker will mean your insurance will be invalid as it will be deemed an unacceptable modification to the OEM spec of the car.
