@200GRANGEHILL. You seem to be having the new J12 model with which you now have engine failure because of the thermostat housing !???
Not sure that is correct, perhaps 200GRANGEHILL has misidentified their car on the profile. This is clearly a 2019 model based thread, and an earlier post suggested their car was a 2009 Reg - again which I see as another error.
200GRANGEHILL - what year is your car?
2019 1.3 DiG-T 160 Tekna, black (J11b)
prev 2015 1.2 DiG-T n-tec+, black (J11)
prev 2009 1.5 dCi Acenta, black (J10)
@Pandjh. I hope 200GRANGEHILL car is indeed misidentfied.
A +14 year old car having these type of issues might not be that out of the ordinary.
That would mean only 2016-2019 QQ models might be affected -OR- is this a more common problem with all Nissan models ?
Hi I’m new here but quite a worried owner of a 2018 J11b Tekna.
My local dealer told me this morning that Nissan were on the FOURTH revision of this part, so something ain’t right with it? Either they’ve changed the supplier of the part or redesigned it up to 4 times already!
Thermostat housing failed, noticed steam coming out the back of the car as driving down the road no warnings temp guage never moved. Had to get the car recovered, the recovery driver said it would be the thermostat housing? Recovered to home address as it was Sunday no dealer open.
2019 47k miles, purchased new housing from nissan £170 replaced myself, dealer said we have done a few of these in the last month?
Complained to nissan explaining its a common fault got a reply stating that they would give me a goodwill jester of a £100 voucher. Hour later got a phone call from nissan saying they had mad a mistake as I had not taken the car to a dealer and had not had it on the diagnostics.
They know its a fault but won't admit to it. My first and last nissan
