Hi, we recently picked up our 2016 Qashqai and its fitted with the blind spot monitoring, our drivers side works perfectly but the passenger side only seems to work every now and again.

The light does work as it comes on at startup, and I have see it activate, once or twice, so can I assume the sensor is faulty? They don't look to expensive to replace, but wasn't sure if this needs calibrating, and if this is even DIY job?

Many thanks in advance :)

I can’t be 100% sure but doesn’t it only work when you are indicating and a vehicle is in the correct position ?

It doesnt make any difference if the indicator is used on mine, I think they should always be illuminated if a car is in that blind spot regardless

You'll get a beeping noise if your indicate and car is at side of you. The orange light will appear eaither side if your on motorway an a car is in range. Have you cleaned the sensors.
