Yesterday, I drove for maybe 30 minutes with my passenger and driver windows half-open. I stopped to collect some stuff, it took me around 3 minutes, and when I got back to my car all the electric windows just stopped working. I can't close or open them anymore. Those in the front just left half-open at the moment. I covered them with some bags and duct tape so the rain could not get in. All of the garages are booked for this week. Does anybody know what could have happened? Maybe I could fix it myself.

Note: No, I did not press the kids' safety button for windows and there are no unusual warning lights on the dashboard.

Thank you.

First check the fuse. If ok try taking power lead off battery then put it back after a minute see if it resets.

Thanks for your advice Fujikun.

I did locate the fuse using the diagram I found here. I opened the fuse box but that fuse is inside some kind of fuses terminal/block. Do I need to get the whole terminal? I Googled a lot and couldn't find anything like that. Maybe there is a way to change the fuse inside that block?

Basis I haven't looked in the book buy I don't think that the blue triple fuse you've ringed will be the electric window fuse. Have a look in the handbook.

Finally brought it to the electrician. He said that it was not a fuse and he tried to change the whole command button switch but it didn't help either. He assumes there is an issue with the power relay in one of the windows. Could that be true?

so you have not actually checked the fuses yourself behind the glove box yet then ?

The electric window circuit also I believe has both a Fusable link block and an inline circuit breaker.
Did your Auto Electrician also test these?
