I have a Nissan Qashqai 2018 with battery type EFB 70A and 720 EN rating. The garage has fitted an EFB 70A and 760 EN rating battery and has said it doesn’t need coding.

Many posts on this forum mention the battery needs to be recoded when installed. Does the change in EN rating need to be coded?

its not the batt that gets coded, its the car so it knows a new batt is installed. some later models of qq don`t need to be coded, so you`ll be ok if your garage has told you.

Thanks, they also mentioned they don’t have the equipment to do coding
