Dump Valve Noise 2014 1.5DCI

Hi Everyone,

Looking for some ideas as to what could be up with my 2014 1.5 DCI Qashqai.
Started last week as a noise under acceleration, can only be described as noise like wind whistling through a gap in a window.
Sound progressed now to what I can only describe as a dump valve.
The noise is clearly coming from engine bay, to left hand side as you look at it from the front, down behind and below the point where you put washer fluid in.
Sounds like it's progressively getting worse and sound is there now idling, not just under acceleration.

Any ideas would be appreciated, getting nervous about continuing to drive it at this stage.

Maybe one of the belts drop it into a local garage and they should be able to tell you straight away

Yeah, hoping it's nothing major, had both the timing belt and clutch replaced in past few months. One thing after another

Did you have that noise before you had them belts changed

No noise before. I've literally only had the clutch and timing belt done in the past few months. Clutch was just before Christmas. Can't believe I'm back in again!

sounds like the belt then, take it back to where it was fitted
