I went to fill my windscreen fluid today and when I lifted the bonnet I noticed the cap was missing, not sure how this happened. Anyway I looked online to order a new one (ebay, amazon) and noticed they all seemed to have a straw attached which goes deep inside the resevoir.
I am sure (but not 100%) that my old one was just a cap and didn't have a straw. But I could be wrong because I didn't pay close attention. So I'm looking for help/advice so that I don't buy the wrong thing.

I'm guessing the straw part is a way for you not to lose the cap

I'm guessing I didn't lose it, since it was there last time I filled it, and the last time the bonnet was opened was when my car was getting serviced so seems like someone else forgot to put it back on.
