Returning to QQ

I previously had a 2008 2.0 dCi Tekna (4WD) from near new, unfortunately was written off in an accident in 2011.

In 2015 I bought a new 1.5 dCi N-Tec+ ran it until 2020 when I passed it on to my daughter, who is still running it.

So in a few months the lease on my current car (BMW 218i convertible) is up and have decided to return to the Qashqai, my plan is to get a new e-Power Tekna in Fuji Senset Red. I briefly flirted with moving to a Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake but was shocked how little space it had in the boot and the rear. My bench mack is...can I get my golf bag in comfortably, the Qashqai passed the test with ease!

Currently trying to sort out a good deal via CarWow, best offer is coming in with a 15% discount.

When I bought mine the best discount was at that level, I went for the second-cheapest price in the end because that dealer was only 50 miles away rather than hundreds.

That discount sounds about right...discounts can vary by model grade and engine config.

Over 2 years on and still very happy with my QQ J12.

Due to test drive an e-power on Thursday, if all goes well I expect to be placing an order. I was going to go for Fuji Sunset Red but after visiting the showroom today with my wife, it looks like Magnetic Blue is now in pole position.

The test drive went well, was an N-Connecta, so no ProPilot features. Drove on ePedal which was strange for the first couple of times I had to slow down but after 10 minutes or so it seemed natural. Loved the acceleration and smoothness.

Order now placed for e-Power Tekna in Magnetic Blue for a delivery in May.

Dealer confirmed today that new car should be with them a week tomorrow (March 22nd). Hoping it will available for pickup by the 25th or so.

Got a call from the dealer, car arrived a few days early. As I was passing I popped in and happened to see it in the parking lot. There were two new e-Power in Magnetic Blue but as I had already been told the VIN number I was able to work out which one it was.

Paid the remaining deposit and I'll pick it up on Friday.

New Qashqai has arrived. Turned up at the dealer at the appointed time and couldn't see it outside. That was because it was inside the showroom with a red cover over it. Dealer did a very good handover and off I went. Took it for a 20mile spin just to try out some of the gadgets, excellent so far.
