Hi,

I had some work done on a 2013 QQ+2.

The part was replacing the Front pads. But I can see some metal that looks bent out of shape, looking at it through the alloys. Can anyone confirm that this is not what it should be?

Also a squelly / chirply noise - particularly when turning (left).

nope it`s not supposed to be bent back like that take a look at the other side and the rear and you`ll see how that clip is supposed to be.. i`d get who ever fitted them to sort that out for you...

The bent bit goes toward the disc so when the pad wears close to the limit it will make a loud noise to warn you, the chirp may well be the pad not retracting from the disc properly.

Thank you @andy2019 and @Mark65.

Took it back to the garage. They did something. Not sure exactly what.

The noise had diminished over time, anyway, but I'm sure an incorrectly 'fitted' shim/wear indicator would likely have caused problems down the line, and I could still hear the noise a little on the way to the garage. They didn't let me inspect the ramp, but after a quick look before driving home, I couldn't see bent clips anymore.

I'll get another garage to inspect - perhaps when the MOT is due in the next few weeks. Perhaps post a more complete closure to the issue then.

Thanks again guys.
