Surely if they admit the fault the manager could put this through for free, don't offer to pay , keep firm! Good luck. Has put me off Nissan I have to say very flimsy design I'm weary opening my boot ,won't let kids near it as it could easily happen again.

you can get a chrome cover cheap ..so get in there with the epoxy and screws or whatever and clip on the chrome trim..

It's really easy to replace this handle. I bought a new one on ebay for £100 and spent 30 minutes fitting it. If anyone wants instructions on how to fit it PM me

Same problem, handle came away.Has anyone had repair done under warranty ? I have an RAC 3 year warranty and would like to know if its covered.

Hi – this rear door grip has just happened to me. Currently i've got it taped on! Have ordered a new 'handle' and bolts from ebay and hoping to fit it myself. I'd appreciate any tips, or instructions if anyone could help? Thank you!
