Qashqai Mirror Casing Removal
This morning my mirror was hit very hard by a coach driving down a B road that was way too narrow for it to be on. It was overhanging its side by nearly a foot, so I had no way to avoid it. Now apart from some paintwork from the bus the casing looks fine on the outside, but all the edge clips on the casing have come out of where they should be and I also need to check if any small clips inside have been broken. To do all this and to put the mirror back together I need to be able to take it apart. It looks like there is a small screw hole in the underside near where it joins the car. Is this what is holding the casing together? If I undo this will I be able to check the inside and fit the casing back together? Does anyone know of any videos on how to remove the casing?

I'm afraid the service manual doesn't show much about the mirror disassembly but it does indicate
that the outer shell is attached with six pawls - this may give you an idea where they are located.
