Are you saying the poles aren't long enough?
Have you pushed the tailgate open to the full extent then pushed the tailgate button to memorise it?

It's noticeable on this Oz video how low the lift is:

And returning Chinese goods to China is complex with Chinese Customs making it nigh impossible.

I read that the stock 1.83m (72in) clearance is reduced to 1.65m (65in) -- not the 44in you seem to have come up against.

Five members of the Singapore Qashqai group who did the electric tailgate mod managed to get it modded back to 1.78m (70in). See viewtopic.php?f=29&t=2395&hilit=power+tailgate&start=20

Perhaps you need to explain to the vendor just how far off spec it is.

great upddate thanks -- yes i will refer back to che1 re the hright = I initially thought the hight woull eb altered on power up but no this is the extent of lift -- the struts are pretty much the same length as originals @ circa 21 inches - it is simply the attachment points don't allow the tailgate to fully open - as i say in my post if the ram could be rotated ever so slightly then it would fit the standard ball end bolts - hopefully we can move this forward quickly - being honest I am disappointed but no way would I try to return the kit to china with customs etc to contend with -- 2 points - 1 i don't see the link mentioned for an aus video of height and secondly is there a lnk/contact/group I can use to help me sort out the wiring as it would seem other members have fitted them in australia?? ok --

Richard from Singapore said that just using the stock upper hinge instead of the similar brackets provided by the supplier gave the 70in opening. He thought that this may result in a shorter life and discussed this with che1, who felt that use with the original brackets would not create such concern. Perhaps contacting Richard via the link I gave you would help with questions about whether the ram needs rotation and where all the electrical gubbins go.

I would appreciate if you could post a link to the new English instruction. What do you mean by a one foot sensor?

Sure . I will attach it . When foot sensor iinstalled, you can open and close tailgate simply by moving your foot under the rear bumper .
