So the plug doesn't just connect to that second position on the device, with the spur locking into the hole?

Lucky13 wrote: Wed Jan 17, 2018 4:23 pm Thanks it's not just the plug, if you look at pics one and two you will see the unit is already connected to a plug on the loom...I can actually pull it off the plug if I wanted too, so the unit is complete, I just don't know what it does or where to put it...has nobody ever taken this front sensor housing off before as I just need to see one to work out where everything goes.
Not sure what you mean. I can see the parking sensor is connected but I wondered if the loose plug had fallen off the outside air temperature sensor which could be located nearby which is why I asked if the display was reading correctly.
Thanks I'm not talking about the parking sensor which is already connected to the loom and pushed into the sensor housing, I'm talking about the item hanging down behind and to the right of that...it is already connected to a plug and can be removed it's not just a lose plug hanging down.

I am completely ignoring the parking sensor as I know what it is and how it is connected and fitted into the surround.

thanks

Good graphics editing skills :D No I've already tried that and it's a no go...there is possibly space for it on the far left of the sensor housing and then turned sideways and pointing out towards the left of your screen...but that pulls the loom pretty tight so I'm not sure

Just looked at mine. It goes under the metal cross brace and is mounted transversely behind the parking sensor housing and in front of the AC condenser.

Well I had the same problem and it looks like that plug pushes up into a housing to the left hand side of the front auto grill flaps which I believe open and shut in certain conditions.
remember it goes in and pushes up vertically
