That is what I needed to know! Thank you so much.
I’m about to install them. I did received the LEDs last week but the connectors were lost by the Belgian Mail

Ok so now I have driven it. The way I have it wired up as described in my post above:
- illuminates when unlocking
- remains illuminated continuously whilst driving
- extinguishes when locked (after short time)

Oh, it remains illuminated whilst driving? That is not what I would like to have. I have quite some dark roads down here and I'm afraid it will be to dazzling. I will rather go for the other pin (brown on the M54 or red on the R14).
It will OR
- only activate the footwells when doors are openend
OR
- will behave as the map lamps
I guess it will be this last option.

Yeah I'm not sure how to achieve what you want. Possibly brown pin 6.lapalmeraie wrote: ↑Wed Mar 21, 2018 2:13 pm Oh, it remains illuminated whilst driving? That is not what I would like to have. I don't mind the illumination whilst driving as the LED strips I have are not super bright. They're just enough ambiance. But I understand what you're saying, it would put me off too if they were a lot brighter.

I will try it first on the ground connected to the BCM. If I'm not satisfied with the result I will connect to the simple ground after all.
As I'm planning to use scotchlok connectors switchting will be a peace of cake.

Swapped the LED controller out for a working RF remote one. Can now cycle through programs

I installed my footwells and succeeded in what I wanted straight away; it lightens when I unlock / open the doors but it dies off when starting just like the room lamps. Here is how I managed to do so:

I amended the wiring on mine today. I've now got it wired up as so:lapalmeraie wrote:I installed my footwells and succeeded in what I wanted straight away; it lightens when I unlock / open the doors but it dies off when starting just like the room lamps. Here is how I managed to do so:

Great. A bit safer I think.
Eventually you could lead a wire to black as well and connect both brown and black to a switch in the case you want to have the possibility to lighten the footwells while driving as you can with the other interior lamps.
