Hi All
I have a 2012 and the rear electric windows seem terribly slow to close. It’s better when it’s wet and so I thought it might be just dirt. I took a cloth and cleaned as best I could the seal and it seems to have made one better ( there was lot of black muck) but I don’t think I can get it properly clean. I wondered if anyone could tell me how to remove the seals for cleaning without damaging all the plastic. I can’t see how or where they are attached and am frightened to go prising away and hear a big SNAP!
Any help or diagrams would be brilliant!
Thanks
Cleaning rear window seals
Before you remove the seals, if it is practicable try lubeing up the seals with silicone grease and operating them a few times.

I'm thinking furniture polish is not quite what I was thinking. You need the stuff that looks like grease, it is white. Some of it will get absorbed by the rubber & should soften it some.
I’m not sure that’s a goer as it will make the windows white and the rubber is still pliable and soft so I think that might just attract the dirt and stick more of it on! Has anyone got any idea how to take them off?
i wonder if the sticky stuff is sap that falls from trees rather than old grease?
